iPhone or iPad (Safari)
- Open Safari and go to the website.

- Optionally edit the name, then tap Add.
- The icon now appears on your Home Screen. Tap it any time to open the site.
If you don’t see “Add to Home Screen”:
- Make sure you’re using Safari, not Chrome or another browser.
- Update iOS/iPadOS if needed. If it’s a work‑managed device, your admin may restrict this feature.
Android – Google Chrome
- Open Chrome and go to the website.
- Tap the ⋮ menu (top‑right).
- Tap Add to Home screen (sometimes Install the Chrome app for sites that support it).
- Edit the name if you like, then tap Add. On some phones you’ll confirm by tapping Add again or dragging the icon to a spot.
Android – Samsung Internet
- Open Samsung Internet and go to the website.
- Tap the ≡ menu.
- Tap Add page to → Home screen.
- Confirm Add.
Android – Firefox

Android – Microsoft Edge

Move or Remove the Shortcut
Move: Long‑press the icon, then drag it where you want.
Remove (iPhone/iPad): Long‑press the icon → Remove Bookmark (or Delete App if it installed as a web app) → confirm. This does not delete the website.
Remove (Android): Long‑press the icon → Remove. If it installed as a web app (PWA), you may see Uninstall.
FAQs & Troubleshooting
- I can’t find “Add to Home Screen” on iPhone. Use Safari; other iOS browsers often don’t show this option.
- The icon looks generic. Some sites don’t provide an app icon. It will still work.
- It says “Install app” on Android. That’s normal for sites that support Progressive Web Apps (PWA). Choose Install—it behaves like an app and still appears on your home screen.
- Can I rename it? Yes—edit the name during the Add/Install step.
