The Smart Check Tool is a valuable asset for efficient purchase management in your Personal Catalogue. Here's a breakdown of its features:
To turn your Smart Check tool on:
Click the Smart Check Tab
Select "turn on" in the next prompt

1. Best Price Column:
Displays alternative lower prices for non-reimbursable products.
Clicking on the price reveals a popup with cost-effective alternatives, sorted by the lowest price per unit.
2. NHS Rate Column:
Shows higher profits for reimbursable or potentially reimbursable items.
Displays an asterisk if an alternative item is reimbursable or offers a higher profit margin.

Navigating the Best Price Column:
A figure in this column suggests alternative products at better prices.
Clicking on the price unveils a popup for easy comparison across all pack sizes.

Navigating the NHS Rate Column:
Works similarly to the Best Price column but focuses on profits for reimbursable items.
An asterisk appears for items with alternatives at a higher profit margin or if a reimbursable alternative exists.
Check the NHS Rate column for an asterisk during ordering.
Clicking on the asterisk reveals alternative items for potential inclusion in the order list.

Important Notes on Reimbursement Prices
Reimbursement prices exclude VAT, discount fees, and dispensing fees.
Items below £50 might offset NHS discount costs with dispensing income. Above £50 it is advised to check on profit to ensure a profit exists.
Using the Surgery Network Calculator
Download from the home page blog search area by entering "calculator" in the search box.
Useful for checking profit on more expensive reimbursable items. The NHS Rate column works in a similar manner to the Best Price column except that it displays the profit on a reimbursable item instead of the best price.
